Tekashi 6ix9ine is still behind bars for a a racketeering charge. He’s reportedly trying to get released on bail, but it turns out that is the least of his worries. According to a new report from TMZ, the Feds have a snitch from 6ix9ine’s crew on their side.
Prosecutors reportedly dropped the bomb on Tekashi this week, announcing they had a confidential informant who’s made recordings, possibly of conversations that prove the Brooklyn native’s guilt.
To put it lightly, Tekashi’s legal team is taking the matter very seriously. “Anytime there is a confidential informant, there is cause for concern,” Lance Lazarro, Tekashi’s attorney told TMZ. “I am confident that any recorded conversations with [Tekashi] will prove that he was never a part of the Enterprise and support the conclusion that he’s innocent.”
As previously reported, the “Fefe” rapper pled not guilty in his federal racketeering case on Monday (Nov. 26). He could face life in prison, and with this confidential informant, prosecutors believe he just might. Tekashi’s trial is set for Sept. 4.
