Embattled musician Tekashi 6ix9ine is reportedly working with a prosecutor to get his choking case dismissed, per The Blast.
The site reads that the “FEFE” rapper allegedly choked a man named Santiago Albarran in Texas, and that despite the controversy, his attorney Carl Moore is hard at work to get the case dropped.
The Brooklynite appeared in court in Houston today for the case after performing in Miami. There weren’t any major developments in this particular case, Tekashi still has pretty big issues on the horizon.
The musician may head to jail for one to three years per a judge’s recommendation in connection to his 2015 child sex cases, in which he entered a guilty plea for the use of a child in a sexual performance. Additionally, he may also have to register as a sex offender.
The parties involved agreed to the plea deal provided Tekashi was on his best behavior for at least two years. However, that didn’t happen, as he’s faced misdemeanor assault charges, was charged for driving with a suspended license, and he allegedly assaulted a police officer. His sentencing will be on Oct. 2.
His song “FEFE” peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
