Shots were reportedly fired in Beverly Hill Thursday night (Nov. 8), where Tekashi 6ix9ine was shooting a music video with Nicki Minaj and Kanye West, TMZ is reporting. The most terrifying part is that both Tekashi and Kanye were at the scene during the shooting.
According to reports, Tekashi’s team rented an $80 million mansion in the Hills for what was supposed to serve as the backdrop of a luxurious music video for one of the songs on his new album.
Things quickly turned dangerous around 10:25 p.m. PT when Beverly Hills police responded to a call about shots being fired. Sources reportedly told TMZ that it appeared to be a drive-by shooting, with approximately eight shots being fired.
Tekashi and Kanye were reportedly inside the home at the time of the shooting. Nicki had not arrived yet. Luckily, no one was hit, but at least one bullet struck a bedroom window. Ye reportedly left immediately after the coast was clear, and production for the shoot wrapped as the crew was visibly disturbed.
It’s unclear who was the target of the recent shooting, but this wouldn’t be the first time Tekashi has found himself in the middle of a similar incident. Earlier this month, Tekashi’s manager Kifano Jordan shot a security guard twice in the torso after he refused to let Tekashi into the Manhattan restaurant. Jordan was reportedly charged with a felony for the shooting. Additionally, a shooting occurred at Tekashi’s music video with 50 Cent back in Aug. 2018.
Detectives are reportedly reviewing footage to catch the unknown shooter(s).
