Between hosting a Los Angeles summit designed to unite Bloods and Crips and partnering with the Los Angeles Police Department to stop the violence, The Game has committed to using his influence for a greater good.
In his latest initiative, the Cali rapper shifts his attention to women he believes deserve the utmost respect: mothers. “I figure with all the tragedy, and all the brothers killing each other, cops killing brothers, brothers killing cops, the one thing that people care about the most around the world is their mothers,” he said of his latest endeavor entitled “Yo Mama, My Mama.”
In partnership with actress Zulay Henao and PartnersInKynd, The Game took to Instagram to encourage his fans to share their love for their mothers in a friendly contest. Yvette Hicks, a single mother of eight, was named inaugural “Mother of the Day” and went on the special shopping day with the rapper.
The rapper took Hicks to a nearby supermarket where he treated them to $1,000 in groceries and had a little bit too much fun in the process.
I remember being a kid in the grocery store with my mama…. Ain’t nothing changed lol.. #YoMamaMyMama

“So in the midst of all the negativity & tragedy the world has witnessed over the past 10 days… I wake up on a mission to try to spread as much positivity as possible in hopes of shifting the negativity & creating a more peaceful vibe amongst us all,” he shared on Instagram.
Looks like day one was a complete success and job well done.
