The Game has been ordered to pay $3,000 after his July 2012 incident with 40 Glocc. According to a report from My News LA, the rapper was also found guilty of battery. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Susan Bruguera delivered the ruling last week, and ordered a second trial phase to determine if The Game will have to pay further damages. The $3,000 ruling was a small fraction of the lawsuit filed by 40 Glocc, who asked for a whopping $4.5 million for pain and suffering, emotional distress, medical damages and lost earnings.
40 Glocc alleged that The Game chased him outside of a Hollywood Hills party with about 10 other men, where he assaulted him and drew a gun on him. He also claimed to fear for his life during the ordeal, and that he suffered post traumatic stress disorder thereafter. Judge Brugera rejected his PTSD claim, and cited 40 Glocc’s demeanor as the reason for the miniscule payout.
“The court finds plaintiff’s total disregard for the truth while testifying results in his failure to carry his burden of proof on all causes of action except for the undisputed battery,” she wrote in her ruling.
The breakdown of 40 Glocc’s lawsuit was as follows, according to TMZ:
– $500,000 for pain and suffering
– $500,000 for emotional distress
– $2 million in punitive damages
– $25,000 in medical expenses
– $750,000 for lost earnings
Following the filing of the suit, The Game appeared in court, where he took to Instagram to publicly shame 40 Glocc for taking their beef to court.
“Got me in here wit all these police, lawyers & shit cause yo p***y ass can’t take yo a** whoopin like the SUPER CRIP you claim to be,” he wrote.
The Game’s status conference for the second phase of trial has been scheduled for Jan. 14.
