Things aren’t looking good for Tekashi 6ix9ine. While the rapper awaits trial for a racketeering charge, The Game is warning new rappers about the consequences that come with trolling so they can avoid suffering a similar fate as Tekashi.
“All these new young rappers, because I used to be one, need to take heed because all that faking . . . is not what’s gonna help your life,” Game told The Blast outside of the Murano nightclub in West Hollywood. “There’s n****s out here really living and dying, doing real life sentences. You ever get a life sentence? Neither have I but I know n****s that’s doing life and being from real gangsta s**t…”
He continued: “You faking, he doing it for real. Y’all both in there! You think you’re hard because you’re in there, he tryna to get out. The world gotta get their s**t right. I don’t know one killer that wants to be in jail.”
As previously reported, 6ix9ine is facing serious prison time for racketeering. Tekashi’s attorney, Lance Lazarro argued in court that the rapper should be seen as “an entertainer who portrays a ‘gangster image’ to promote his music.” Lazarro also noted that 6ix9ine is a “victim” of an “enterprise” that he previously tried to distance himself from.
The Game’s comments come months after he engaged in a war of words against the “Gummo” rapper on social media. Game reportedly shaded the rapper for calling himself “the king of New York.”
Hopefully The Game was able to reach some of the other youngin’s out there.
