
The Weeknd is coming. The XO singer recently unveiled on Tuesday Nov. 6) that he has a new album on the way, and the forthcoming project is tentatively titled Chapter VI.
“I want you guys to be the first to know that I’m working on my new album right now,” he reportedly told fans at a recent concert. “Chapter VI coming soon. Let’s get it.”
The concert was part of the launch for Hxouse, a Toronto-based “incubator” for emerging artists, spearheaded by Weeknd and XO’s creative director La Mar Taylor.

Additionally, Weeknd took to Twitter where he hinted at the project again. “Some chapters are smaller than others. not this next one though…”
Chapter VI will serve as The Weeknd’s first studio album since 2016’s Starboy. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 with 348,000 equivalent album units sold. It is also certified, double platinum. Two years later, he debuted his EP My Dear Melancholy in Mar. 2018.
