Since his 2011 debut, House of Balloons, The Weeknd has made a name for himself by creating an alternative R&B sound. With his 2013 major label release of Kiss Land, fans have grown to expect a particular aesthetic from the Canadian crooner that only he can deliver on.
Since then, The Weeknd has scored some major looks with today’s biggest artist including Ariana Grande’s “Love Me Harder” and his smash hit “Earned It” from the 50 Shades of Gray soundtrack. So with all the work Abel Tesfaye has put in, one would assume a follow up is on the way, yes?
Well according to Revolt, The Weeknd is set to release his sophomore follow up via Republic Records. But don’t mark your calendars just yet. While some outlets report a late August release date, The Weeknd is keeping that information close to the chest.
information about my album date is false. i apologize to the fans for the inconvenience. XO
