Theophilus London has worked with his mentor Kanye West for awhile, but the two collaborated differently for Ye’s upcoming LP, So Help Me God.
In an interview with Montreality, London said a casual conversation led to the opportunity to write for Kanye.
“He’s like, ‘Yo, why don’t you write a song for me?’ London recalls. “‘Do you know how much pussy around the world you’d get if you’re on my album?'”
London also schooled his mentor on how he can appeal to a broader audience.
“Alright, you got the wife and the kids now, but you still that sex symbol, instead of rapping about your wife and saying how you guys have sex, make it universal, talk about what you guys do but don’t say her name, so, every girl can think they’re the girl you’re talking about.'”
The 27-year-old Brooklyn native isn’t sure if his song will make the album, but one thing London knows is, he’ll be coming back with Vibes part two.
