It’s official: T.I. will host the 5th annual Global Spin Awards in New Orleans in Feb. 2017. For one night only, the event presented by REVOLT, will invite DJs and influencers from around the world to honor them for the contributions to music and entertainment.
“I am excited,” the Us or Else rapper said in an official statement. “This event continues to recognize the driving forces and influencers that impact diverse audiences globally and across various genres and I?m honored to be part of such an incredible night.” And while T.I. will command the mic, award-winning DJ Spinderella be on the tables.
In addition to the distributing of awards, the night will include a number of special performances. No Limit will take the stage for a mini reunion with Master P, Silkk The Shocker, Mia X, Mystikal and Romeo. “It’s good to be able to recognize the DJs who have paved the way for all artists, and to celebrate them in my home town is historic,” Master P said. Notable nominees at the the event include DJ Khaled, DJ Envy and DJ Drama, who are all up for DJ of the Year. DJ Self and Funk Flex are also nominated for Regional Mixshow DJ of the Year (Northeast).
The Global Spin Awards will kick off during the 2017 All-Star Weekend and will air on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. ET, exclusively on REVOLT. For a full list of the nominees, click here.
