“I just wanna ball in the wraith,” spit Tip, kicking off his two-song performance with “Wraith” featuring Yo Gotti. Comfortable with his rhymes and flow, T.I. controlled the stage, flaunting shades, chains and a bottle of Macallan 18 before passing the mic to Gotti.
Allowing Yo Gotti to perform solo dolo, T.I. reappeared on the revamped stage fresh soon after, complete with an outfit change and gang of Aztec dancers to perform the mariachi-influenced track, “Jefe.”
Recently, Tip spoke to VIBE about the inspiration behind his tenth studio album, Dime Trap. “It’s a conversation of where trap music began and the growth and evolution to where it is now, especially what I’ve learned and what the people have learned from that journey,” he shared. “I try to treat it like a TED talk for trap n**gas. If anyone cares about the orders of operation, here it is for you.”
