In Tidal’s already impressive roster of A-list artists, this latest partnership takes the cake. Jay Z’s streaming service just announced their collaboration with the legendary Prince to stream his upcoming “Rally 4 Peace” concert on Sunday (May 10) in Baltimore, Md.
“I am honored to join Prince in his mission to inspire through the uniting power of music and be able to offer a platform where this moment can be shared globally,” Jay Z mentioned in a statement. “We invite all to experience the music and contribute in their own way to promote peace, tolerance and understanding. Our prayers go out to Freddie Gray’s family and every family affected by brutality and senseless violence.”
Earlier this month, reports stated that Prince was also planning to exclusively release his forthcoming track “Baltimore” on the new website. This online concert will follow that of J. Cole’s intimate Tidal performance to Jigga’s B-Sides concert in New York City May 15-16.
