Perk up your ears, because Tinashe and Chance the Rapper have joined forces with London-production pair Snakehips for their newest single “All My Friends.”
The “All Hands On Deck” singer, who recently graced the pages of Playboy‘s November issue, opens the song with vivid discussion of how tired she is of the loneliness that comes with being the “only human” in the club because she is not under the influence of alcohol and drugs. New father Chance the Rapper seconds Tinashe’s sentiments as he also vents his frustrations with the party scene and the sometimes fatal pill-popping repercussions that follow a lit night.
The pair delve even further into their issues with the weekly weekend turn-up over a mid-tempo instrumental beat created by the English musical duo. “All My Friends” isn’t the 22-year-old rapper and the “Joyride” singer’s first musical connection. The duo initially linked up nearly three years ago in January of 2013 for a remix of “Ecstasy,” a song off of Tinashe’s sophomore mixtape, Reverie.
Does “All My Friends” trump “Ecstasy?” Take a listen and decide.
