Tinashe is teaming up with another R&B heavyweight this year. Following an interview with Travis Mills on Beats 1, the “2 On” singer revealed that she’s collaborating with Chris Brown on her latest single “Player.”
“I’ve always wanted to do a song with [Chris]. Obviously, he’s one of the best entertainers of our generation,” she said. “It’s just exciting to be able to work with him.” The melody will be featured on Tinashe’s sophomore effort Joyride, which is slated for release in November. The project already boasts its lead single “Party Favors” feat. Young Thug.
The details on what fans can expect from the budding vocalist is still kept under wraps, but Tinashe promised, “This time around it was fun because it’s not the same pressure as making your first album. I kind of already set the tone, set the stage, so now you can just progress and be a little bit more creative, so that’s what I’m doing this album. I’m excited about it.”
Production credits for Joyride include Dev Hynes, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Travi$ Scott, who’s been enjoying the success of his album Rodeo.
