
After keeping the clubs on tilt with her smoke-and-drank single “2 On,” Tinashe slows down the tempo for her second look “Pretend,” co-starring rapper A$AP Rocky. On wax, the 21-year-old tries to put her feelings on Front Street and shoo away the problems in her current situationship. The visual finds her studying in a library and stealing glances at Rocky while clutching a composition notebook, making for a potential schoolside romance.
“‘Pretend’ is basically about when you’re in a relationship and instead of dealing with the stuff that you deal with in a relationship, you don’t want to do that,” she told VIBE about single no. 2 at SXSW in March. “You’re just going to pretend that everything is fine. I think a lot of people can relate.”
