It’s been 13 years since TLC’s last album and despite the tragic death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, surviving members T-Boz and Chilli have not given up on their love for music. The iconic girl group who sold 65 million albums worldwide and spawned hits such as “Waterfalls” “No Scrubs” and “Red Light Special” took to Kickstarter to ask fans to help them make their final album through pledges. “We owe so much of our success to you. Your loyalty and support throughout the past 20 years motivates us to do our best work,” the group said on their Kickstarter page. T-Boz and Chilli asked fans to pledge $150,000 so they could independently create the album, and as of Thursday (Jan.22) the group raised more than $190,000 with the help of close to 1,800 pledges, $5,000 of which came from Superbowl Halftime performer Katy Perry. Chilli took to Twitter to thank all her fans including The Fireworks singer.

The group has a little less than a month to raise more money and who knows, maybe they’ll earn a million.
