Tori Kelly has been having a breakout year, and after the success from her debut album, Unbreakable Smile, it’s pretty clear that she has no plans of losing momentum. The new singer on the block just released her latest single “Hollow,” which she describes as “honest,” “vulnerable,” and “epic.”
The soulful, upbeat track was written with musician, Zac Poor. Although many of her songs have focused on love stories, the “Should’ve Been Us” singer says this song is about her relationship with God.
The chorus chants, “I’m fragile and you know this/ So hold me, wrap me in love/ Fill up my cup/ Empty, and only your love could fill up my cup/ Because I’m hollow.” While all the lyrics seemingly mean a lot to the singer, Kelly admits that her favorite lyrics are “pour out your perfection on me now.”
Following this release, Tori responded to a couple fan questions on her Twitter account, discussing the impact of the track and her experience writing with Zac Poor. Even though 2015 has almost run out of time, Tori Kelly is using every moment to her advantage.
