West Coast artist manager and VIBE opinionista, Devan Welch of Rubix Management, runs his trap on some hi-hat tattering, 808-filled trap tunes.
1. Carnage Feat. Migos & Jadakiss – “Bricks” (Green Lantern Remix)
If you don’t know who Green Lantern is, you don’t know hip hop. The hip hop afficiando comes from Shady’s camp and is now making festivals across the nation his stomping ground. Taking big room trap back to its grimy, hard roots merging Jadakiss and Carnage, Green Lantern is just what we needed.
2. Skrillex & Kill The Noise Feat. Fatman Scoop and Michael Angelakos – Recess (Valentino Khan Remix)
Another producer who has roots out of dance music. Valentino Khan has produced for everyone from OG trap star, T.I to Bruno Mars. Now he lent his own vision on Skrillex and Kill The Noise’s Recess. Now while not a conventional track you’d here in a trap line up, I think we can all agree that this is more than ready for your playlist for the weekend.
3. Borgore & Sikdope – Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse (@KennedyJonesTHO Trap Remix)
Buygore is representing hard when it comes to the trap scene, so its only fitting their red headed poster boy Kennedy Jones makes the rounds here at Vibe. Remixing the BG boss, Borgore and Sikdope he gives this massive track a very bouncy look with some massive drops. Pretty sure you can’t help but turnin up to this.
4. Jay-Z – 99 Problems (Black Boots Blacklisted Rework)
Black Boots may have 99 problems but this remix is sure as hell not one. These Ultra signed, Vegas natives are just murdering the remix game as of late. Now busting out a bass infused Jay Z remix this duo is showing the scene they are here to stay. I can not wait to keep an eye out for what they have coming out next.
5. Fabolous – Diamonds On My Damn Chain (Eliminate Remix)
I’m so excited hearing these old school hip hop tracks get breaths of new life, and thats exactly what Eliminate did. Now while the new school kids may not know Fabolous, that’s fine, because you’re about to go HAM on this new remix. Big bass, big beats, big drops, big ups to Eliminate.
6. Yellow Claw, Diplo & LNY TNZ – Techno (feat. Waka Flocka Flame)
The homies Yellow Claw are back at it again with their new EP, Amsterdam Trap Music. But this time they thought to pair up with the godfather of twerk himself, Diplo. And to make matters a little sweeter they added some friends like LNY TNZ and Waka Flocka Flame. This is the ultimate party theme, now lets see some asses shake.
