It’s been one year since EDM super group Major Lazer joined forces with rap icons such as Pusha T, Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz, and Mad Cobra to create the track “Night Riders.” The song was one of the singles released leading up to the premiere of the electronic trio’s album Peace Is The Mission. Now rap and EDM fans alike can rejoice and watch the intense music video for the song that garnered so much attention last year upon its release.
Although the song is flooded with features, the only person to make an appearance in the video is the rapper straight out of H-Town, Travi$ Scott. The KILLDEATH-directed video is beautifully produced with immaculate scenes of Travi$ lighting up in the streets. The music video picks up after the opening scene and jumps right into an aggressive women on women fighting match.
As the scene escalates you soon follow one of the female fighters through the rest of her night as she goes to earn some more cash at her other jobs. She dances at a club before being riled up by a customer. The altercation ends with her smashing a bottle over his head and rushing out in a taxi to escape some serious danger. As the whole video comes full circle you see Trav at the same fiery scene that ends up being the location where the girl finishes her night by crashing the cab she was driving. By the time the video ends you see why her hustle and grind was necessary
The whole video has a dark city aura around it. The night life theme is perfectly shown in this video and it matches up perfectly with the late night club vibes of Peace Is The Mission. Major Lazer is apparently working on their new album right now. The only thing we know about it so far is that the first single “Cold Water” features both Justin Bieber and MØ and should be arriving within a few weeks.
