Is it or isn’t it? G.O.O.D. Music’s rumored compilation Cruel Winter continues to hang a balance as its members continue to offer conflicting reports on the project’s fate.
While Pusha T has denied its release and Common is not so sure, rapper Travi$ Scott (who is signed to Grand Hustle/ Epic) says the LP is still on the table.
“I’ma come all the way clean man: ‘Ye still go all the way hard about Cruel Winter, so you just never know,” Scott told MTV News. “He might just drop that shit out of nowhere, man. But he still go hard.”
G.O.O.D member Q-Tip first hinted at Cruel Winter‘s release last September, saying in an interview, “If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter right?”
Multiple members of Kanye’s roster are currently working on their own endeavors including Big Sean and 2 Chainz, who will be releasing their sophomore albums later this year. But Scott says he’s taking ‘Ye’s word about Cruel Winter over everything.
“Until I hear ‘Ye be like, ‘It’s not coming out’ then that’s when I can say it’s ‘not coming out’ but he still goin’ ham,” Scott said. “Maybe it’s not right now, maybe it’s not next year, but you can expect one for sure.”—Kandice Lawson
