Trey Songz returned to dominate the music scene with the surprise release of his latest body of work, To Whom It May Concern.
The R&B crooner announced the mixtape, which is hosted by DJ Drama, on his social media accounts just in time for his 31st birthday. The compilation receives production credits from DJ Mustard, Rico Love, Mano and more.
Alongside the release, Trigga also had a mental release of his own. The “About You” singer shared a touching letter to his fans, which was unveiled on Billboard. Within the note, the Virginia native said his discography goes deeper than the music, and it’s an honest reflection of his life and reality.
“My music is sometimes categorized as a song, single, stream, download, mixtape or album, but it’s really the soundtrack to my life,” he writes. “Every lyric is a reflection of where I am within a specific emotion. I’m going through some sh*t like we all are. I look in the mirror and I judge myself like we all do. I want to make it to the better version of myself.”
He later continued, “I give you my love, my confusion, my worries, my happiness, my sadness, my music.”
