Fans have been raving about Travis Scott’s Astroworld Tour. While the show is known for its raging energy and extreme effects, there is one element that will be missing in its remaining shows. The tour opener Trippie Redd has reportedly dropped out of the lineup, according to TMZ.
Redd reportedly cites production issues and “interrupted set times” as the reason. A source told TMZ that the rapper is frustrated with Scott’s production crew because it takes them way too long to assemble the show-runner’s stage set. As a result, the show times often have to be pushed back, which ultimately cuts Trippie’s performance shorter.
Trippie Redd was reportedly a no-show in Detroit on Tuesday night (Dec. 4), which may have been related to his grievances concerning the show.
As previously reported, the tour is in support of Travis Scott’s latest studio album, Astroworld. As seen in fan photos on social media, the stage set features a large roller-coaster that wraps around the whole stage. It also features elaborate lighting and a large model of Trav’s face.
Despite the disagreement, there’s no bad blood. Even so, Trippie Redd will reportedly not appear at the remaining 10 shows. Check out photos from the tour below.
