There’s too many undiscovered talents in New Orleans, La.,, but multifaceted artists who can please their fans’ eardrums with their vocals and a valuable instrument all at once don’t come around every day. NOLA’s own Trombone Shorty is one of them, and is busy making sure the world knows where he comes from.
Shorty, who also goes by Troy Andrews, allows his treasured trombone do all the work on his latest single “No Good Time.” The soulful musician lets a choir make a mellow introduction before he croons the first verse of the bluesy record, which touches on life lessons and love—the hard way.
The Orleans Avenue fueled track serves as the third track off the band’s forthcoming album Parking Lot Symphony. Along with the single, the band also released extensive dates for their upcoming tour this fall. They kicked off the shows at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on April 24 and will hit major cities across the country until October.
