Former Roc-A-Fella spitter Tru Life was released from prison back in April after serving an eight-year prison bid for manslaughter. Now that Tru is home, the LES native has been fairly quiet. Just last week, he released a song with Rick Ross and Velous dubbed, “Bag For It.” But today (June 27), Tru Life made a pitstop at The Breakfast Club to chop it with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Angela Yee.
During the sit-down, Tru Life discussed adjusting to the free world, linking with Jay Z, his relationship with Future and actor Ving Rhames, lessons he’s learned throughout his life and incidents surrounding the case that sent him to prison.
But the most important thing to take away from this is Tru Life admitting that prison isn’t cool, and he’s not beefing with Mobb Deep. Hopefully, the two can link in the studio on a fire track.
