Tupac’s legacy has the potential to be honored in one of music’s most prestigious shrines. The “California Love” artist was listed as one of the many nominees for the 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
Marking this as his first time being nominated for consideration, Pac also joins Jane’s Addiction, Chaka Khan, Chic, and Janet Jackson. In order to fulfill the majority of the requirements that’ll place an artist up for a potential induction, their first album or single must hit the 25 year mark.
For Tupac, his debut studio album, 2Pacalypse Now, will hit that landmark next month. The project featured hit singles from “Trapped” to “Brenda’s Got a Baby.”
You can cast your vote for any of the nominees here, which will end on Dec. 5. Those who make the cut will be announced in December.
