It has been proven time and time again, Tupac Shakur was wise beyond his years, and often spoke truths that were relevant for the time and long after his passing. As New Yorkers rushed to the polls today (April 19) to cast their vote for who they hope to be the next president, MTV went diggin’ in the crates and found a 24 year old interview with Tupac in which he passionately calls out Donald Trump for what he believes are his greedy ways.
“If you want to be successful, you want to be like Trump, it’s gimmie gimmie gimmie, push, push, push, push, step, step, step, crush, crush, crush,” Pac said. “That’s how it all is.”
Impassioned with both great confusion and hurt, Tupac then goes onto speak about the gross inequality that plague America.
“It’s too much money here. I mean, nobody should be hitting the lotto for $36 million and we’ve got people starving in the streets. That is not idealistic, that’s just real. There’s no way Michael Jackson should have, or whoever Jackson should have a million, thousand drupel billion dollars and there’s people starving. There’s no way!” Tupac said. “There’s no way that people should own planes and there are people who don’t have houses.”
Although the interview took place in August of 1992, unfortunately not much has changed. Watch ‘Pac go in below.
