Adding to the list of artists who want Birdman to run that cash money, is original Hot Boy Turk, who filed a $1.3 million lawsuit against the label boss earlier this month. Citing that he had not received royalties from the label since 1998, the rapper joins the likes of Lil Wayne and Tyga, who also have very public money-related gripes with Baby. And now, Turk has applied more pressure to the rap mogul regarding his suit.
“If they don’t answer by March 11, it will be declared a default judgement,” Turk told AllHipHop.
Giving Birdman 21 days to reply, Turk is requesting that the label provide accounting documents for royalties owed to him. The rapper claims that Cash Money did not register his shares with BMI for his 2001 album Young & Thuggin’, nor for other other songs the rapper appeared on, including Juvenile’s “Ha (Remix).”
Birdman has remained reticent in all matters regarding Wayne, Tyga and Turk’s legal issues.
