According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the “Still Sippin'” musician was pulled over by police after they smelled marijuana. The California native was cuffed and charged for possession of cocaine and “less than an ounce” of weed. There were six others in the van with the singer, however, were released and aren’t expected to be charged. A judge is expected to consider the singer and rapper’s bond at 11 a.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 6).
Ty’s arrest came just two hours before he was expected to take the stage at the Cellars Amphitheater as an opening act for G-Eazy’s Endless Summer tour. Acts such as Lil Uzi Vert and YBN Nahmir are also on tour with the “No Limit” MC. The next stop on the tour is Tampa, Fla. on Friday, Sept. 7. No word on whether Ty will be able to attend, but he was understandably a no-show at Wednesday’s concert.
Ty’s recent opus Beach House 3 was met with favorable reviews, and his “3Way” collaborator Teyana Taylor says that they will work on a joint album in the future.
“We actually bout to do a whole album together,” the songstress wrote on Twitter back in July. “…this is for sure happening…A full album.”
