The Aussies just aren’t feeling Tyler, The Creator anymore, or at least a solid group of them. Collective Shout is urging Australia’s immigration minister from granting the Odd Future head honcho with a visa to perform on country grounds.
According to the group’s co-founder, Melinda Tankard Reist, the group’s beef with Tyler comes from his alleged promotion of violence against women such as rape and genital mutilation. Reist added a heap of other accusations like inciting a 2014 riot and labeling him a criminal for his glorification of misogyny. Calling him a “controversial visa applicant,” she led the group to petition his Australia arrival.
“We believe he’s in breach of his visa conditions, which state very clearly that you cannot come here and propagate, vilify or incite discord in the Australian community,” Reist told the 3AW news station.

His New Zealand ban after government officials outed him as a threat to public order provoked a very pissed off Tyler to speak against the bans as well. Venting his frustration on the Kanye and Lil Wayne collab “Smuckers” wasn’t enough for the LA-native, however. During a 2013 tour concert, a Collective Shout member captured footage of him screaming some pretty vulgar language at her.
Tyler is scheduled for a pit stop in Brisbane on Sept. 3 before hitting up Sydney, Melbourne and Perth during the tour. Word of any cancellation from the Australian government hasn’t been released yet. But if so, it will be Odd Future’s second international ban.
