VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod
1. Meek Mill – “Dreams And Nightmares Intro”
Meek’s “Intro” fits the album’s message perfectly. It starts off with a piano instrumental that gives you the feeling of a dream, but ends things off with a hard-hitting banger that sounds like the beginning of a nightmare. Meek’s voice goes from light to aggressive as the song progresses as well. Overall, it’s a great way to get the album started.
2. Kendrick Lamar (feat. Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul & Jay Rock) – “The Recipe (Remix)”
If you know the original, then you’ll notice no difference in the beat. However, the additional verses from the rest of the Black Hippy fam are definitely an added bonus. Blast this one at full volume for the proper effect. Excluding Kendrick, we think Ab-Soul might have this one.
3. Bobby V (feat. K. Michelle) – “Put It”
When K. Michelle isn’t shaking tables, she actually sounds amazing on record. This duet proves that. Also, Bobby doesn’t vocally disappoint either.
4. Pac Div – “Truth”
This latest track off Pac Div’s GMB album puts you in the ultimate chill mood. The beat will get you nodding instantly, plus the wordplay isn’t too bad itself. We’re rocking with this one.
5. Sevyn Streeter – “I Like It”
The biggest thing that knocks about this track is the production. The beat gives us ’06 Timbaland, but the voice is all her own. We’re not mad at this one at all.
