Many New York City natives will argue that there was a time when Harlem’s own Vado was Rotten Apple’s most promising MC. But for whatever reasons, the witty spitter hit a few speed-bumps. However, Cam’ron’s protégé recently released the second installment of his Sinatra series.
Based on the hunger in his voice, it sounds as if the Uptown rapper is intent on reminding the world just how nice he is on the mic. But what’s more impressive than Vado bodying instrumentals with clever wordplay, are the many sagacious gems sprinkled throughout the 13-track project.
Sinatra 2, the follow up the 2014 effort of the same name and features appearances from Lloyd Banks, Phresher, Ron Brownz, among others.
For hip-hop heads fascinated with Cam’ron’s Dipset days, Jadakiss and Fabolous, you might want to give Sinatra 2 a spin. He’s mos def a student of hip-hop’s Golden Era.
