Chicago’s Vic Mensa has been very visible as he continues to speak out against police brutality and the violence in Chicago. Now, he continues to spread his message in a new song from the Birth Of A Nation Soundtrack, “Go Tell Em” — an incendiary ode to black liberation.

“Go Tell Em” is one of Vic Mensa’s most spirited tracks to date since “16 Shots” as he gives us a tune that both summarizes the story of Nat Turner while tying it to all of the tragedies happening now as well is the recent stride of success. Mensa gives us a baptism of fire throughout the track as he spits bars like,
“Brick laid the birth of a nation, it’s the Roc/White house, black man, plantation, it’s Barack/But we still can’t cross the street/Without the cops tryna Zimmerman us while the whole neighborhood watch/They chain us to the auction block but now we changin’ the locks/‘Cause even Bill O’Reilly daughter out here drinkin’ Ciroc.”

The highly controversial soundtrack also features a variety of artists like Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, and many more. It is now available on iTunes and all streaming services. The Birth of A Nation film will be released in theaters on Oct. 6.
