Recently dropping his debut album The Rebirth in February, Los Angeles native Eric Bellinger polished his pipes by serenading VIBE with an a cappella of his track “Club Lights.” The Rebirth, a 32-track, double-disc debut, is both a little old and little new school. All the track were written by Bellinger, who gives listeners a taste of vintage R&B with samples from the likes of Blackstreet, Bobby Caldwell and more over his own lyrics.
“Club Lights’ is when you’re in a club, you’re drinking and it’s dark, you got the club lights flaring all over the place, and if you get it with a right angle, a girl might look like Halle Barry but actually look like Count Dracula,” says Bellinger. “You know, for me, I was like I gotta write a song about that.”
The Rebirth is available on iTunes now here.
