In late December 2017, Waka Flocka took to Twitter to share that he will no longer discuss his fallout with Gucci Mane. While stating that he still has love for the “I Get The Bag” rapper, the “Round of Applause” artist asked for spectators to sweep any curiosity they may have “under the rug.”
Now, after nearly a year of publishing that viral message, Waka Flocka is hoping to bury any past rifts he’s had, including his division from Gucci Mane. Taking to Instagram on Sunday (Nov. 11), the Atlanta native dropped Gucci’s name and asked for him to reach out.
“Hey Gucci, let’s chat, sit the f**k down,” he said. “All that playing over with. You know how to get me big dawg…You call me.”
The rappers’ rift is comprised of a mix of personal and business instances. In 2017, Waka said that Gucci failed to give the proper credit to his mother, Debra Antney, who helped cultivate not only Gucci’s career but also Nicki Minaj and OJ da Juiceman. Waka also discredited Gucci’s memoir and said it was “full of lies.” The pair last collaborated on their Ferrari Boyz studio album that debuted in 2011.
Gucci Mane has yet to respond.
