Mahalia’s “I Wish I Missed My Ex” is blowing up. The groovy record has nearly two million views on YouTube. Today (Aug. 20), the song gets a major boost, thanks to Wale hopping on the remix.
Here, the D.C. rapper sounds bitter as he describes mishaps of an ex-lover.
“Your pu**y average at best, and your conversation is garbage/That’s why you stay with your mama/That’s why you stay in some drama/That’s why you stay by yourself ’cause you hurt the people that love you,” raps the “Girls on Drugs” MC.
Mahalia, English singer-songwriter, first secured a record deal when she was 13 years old, calls her music “psycho-acoustic soul.”
The Atlantic Records signee is currently working on her debut album.
“I don’t love heartbreak, but I guess I love what it does to my writing,” said during a interview with DAZED. “Everyone’s like, ‘I don’t know who is hurting Mahalia, but keep going.'”
In Wale news, the MMG rep recently released his “Black Bonnie” video as well as and a string of remixes including Cardi B and H.E.R. And back in May, Folarin announced his new new deal with Warner Bros.
