Wale takes us way back into time with his new record “Reminisce.” The DC spitter drops verses over a familiar saxophone loop that all hip-hop heads know and love. Producer DJ Camper took Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s classic instrumental from “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” and slightly altered it to create Wale’s latest single.

Fellow DC artist Phil Adé also comes through to hold down the hook. “Reminisce” serves as the follow-up release to “Her Wave” and “My PYT,” which will appear on the MMG rapper’s fifth album S.H.I.N.E. (Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy).
Earlier this year, Wale boasted that he will drop two solo albums this year and serve as executive producer for MMG’s forthcoming Self Made 4 coming soon.
