Just one day after the one-year anniversary of West Coast crooner Nate Dogg, collaborator and long time friend Warren G announced details on their upcoming EP together, No One Can Do It Better. Determined to keep Nate Dogg’s memory alive, the Regulator revealed possible release dates, as well as “It’s pretty much done,” Warren G said in a recent interview. “I might drop it April 17 right after our first Coachella show. If not, by mid-May or June. Shit […] I might decide to go hard virally with it.”
The five-song EP’s first single, “A Party We Will Throw Now,” will feature rhymes from Warren and Game, with a signature Nate Dogg hook. He described No One Can Do It Better’s sound as “that genuine G-Funk sound that we’re missing,” vowing to keep his friend’s legacy going and to let his fans know that things are still the same.
Warren also divulged that he has 25 to 30 unreleased songs with the late Nate Dogg that he plans to release over time, including two songs that will appear on his upcoming solo EP, Regulate the G-Funk Era, in July. — Iyana Robertson
