Last July, Elli Ingram flirted and took our ears to Pleasure Town with her Sober EP. Months later, both the the hangover and thirst still linger. The British soul siren invaded the Old Queens Head bar in the U.K. earlier this month to serve up her bluesy love notes and discuss what separates her work from the current musical landscape.
“What I make is real, it’s raw and there’s no bullshit to it like I’m just a normal girl who talks about real feelings and emotions like everybody feels,” she says.
The 20-year-old also announced that new tunes are on the way with her “album-ette” titled The Doghouse (March 24). The 5-track collection will serve as the amuse bouche to her debut due late summer 2014.
For now, enjoy the sounds of Elli in her intimate showcase above.
