Some may assume that the life of a DJ is all about club hopping and party rocking, but some stars use their power for good. EDM mogul Tiësto will be bringing his music and influence within the dance industry in the fight against AIDS in a collaboration with the disease’s awareness organization, (RED).
“When I went to Africa in 2006, I was struck by the devastating effect of AIDS,” said Tiësto. “Now the world has an incredible chance to make sure that babies are born HIV free by 2015, and the dance community is going to make a lot of noise to help make this happen.”
Tiësto’s exclusive compilation album, Dance (Red), Save Lives, featuring artists Calvin Harris, Avicii, Diplo, Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig, as well as an exclusive collaboration between Tiësto and Bono on U2’s “Pride.”
The release will then be followed by a global live stream from Melbourne’s Stereosonic Festival over World AIDS Day weekend on December 1 and 2. You can catch all the action by returning to this page and watching on the video above.
