Westside Gunn and Conway continues to remind us of what grimy really is. This week, the Griselda/Shady Records artists unleashed the music visuals for their murky street banger, “Machine Gun Black,” a song that was released back in March alongside the announcement of their new label deal with Eminem.
In the video, directed by Two Tower Productions, a VHS tape mysteriously arrives at super-producer Just Blaze’s apartment door. The entire video plays as an actual grainy VHS tape. “Black Machine Gun” clip follows a group of mischievous friends who prey on clueless victims. However, the games played by the schemers stop when they approach Buffalo natives Gunn and Conway.
“Ayo, this for my niggas on the bus taking up north trips/SKS in the Dolce trench
Dice game [?] to the floor throwing trips/Throwing bricks, bring me back 80 by the 5th,” raps Westside Gunn.
“Look, jet fuel, blow a zip for him/20 racks, blue hundreds, that’s a fistful
I stand over the stove, whip the brick good/Rap shit don’t work out? Fuck it, my wrist good,” raps Conway.
Back in May, Conway released his mixtape, Reject on Steroids. Also earlier this year, Westside Gunn released his Riots on Fashion Ave project.
