Reports from CNN regarding the affidavit for an arrest warrant for one of the four men indicted for the murder of musician XXXTentacion last month reveal that the 20-year-old was carrying $50,000 on him at the time of the shooting.
“The rapper had just withdrawn the money — all $100 bills in bank wrappers — before heading to a Deerfield Beach motorsports store,” reports CNN. “A dark colored SUV cut him off as he left the store on June 18, according to an affidavit of an arrest warrant of one of the men indicted in the killing.”
According to witnesses and surveillance footage, a black SUV reportedly cut off X’s vehicle as he left the store. Before the fatal incident, the car was parked at a nearby residence.
A Broward County sheriff officially indicted the four men involved in XXXTentacion’s untimely death. Dedrick Devonshay Williams, 22, of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Michael Boatwright, 22, of Fort Lauderdale, are in police custody, while officials are still on the hunt for Robert Allen, 22, and Trayvon Newsome, 20.
Police believe Boatwright was the one who killed the musician, but all four men are being charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery with a firearm.
