The Broward County Sheriff’s Office has reportedly identified another suspect in late rapper XXXTentacion’s murder case, TMZ reports. Authorities have arrested 22-year-old suspect Michael Boatwright on Tuesday (July 10) and charged him with first-degree murder.
Detectives are reportedly pegging Boatwright as the gunman in X’s death. They suggest that he is one of two shooters in the case. Boatwright reportedly has an extensive history with criminal activity. In the past, he has been arrested on several drug and battery charges.
As previously reported, Boatwright is the third suspect identified in X’s murder. Broward County officials previously identified Robert Allen as a person of interest. Allen still has an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. Dedrick D. Williams was also arrested and booked for first-degree murder in X’s case.
XXXTentacion was killed on June 18 in Deerfield, Florida. Police initially suspected the murder was a random robbery. It’s unclear if details have been uncovered regarding a new motive.
Police are still on the hunt for Allen and another suspect. Trial dates for both Boatwright and Williams have not been announced at this time.
