Police in Florida have arrested a fourth suspect in XXXTentacion’s murder, nearly two months after the 20-year-old rapper was gunned down. Trayvon Newsome surrendered to police Tuesday (Aug. 7) at his lawyer’s office in Fort Lauderdale, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office announced in a news release.
Newsome, 20, is the final suspect alleged to have been involved in XXXTentacion’s slaying. He was booked into the Broward County Jail on first-degree murder, and robbery with a deadly weapon. According to TMZ, authorities believe Newsome was one of two shooters who gunned down XXXTentacion outside of a motorcycle dealership in South Florida in June. The second alleged gunman, Michael Boatwright, was arrested on July 5, initially for marijuana and cocaine possession. He now faces first-degree murder, probation violation and outstanding warrants, in addition to drug charges.
Robert Allen, a third suspect in the murder, was reportedly arrested in Georgia, on July 26. Allen, 22, started out as a person of interest in the case because he was seen on surveillance camera at the scene of the crime. He has since been indicted on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges. Dedrick Williams, also 22, was arrested two days after XXXTentacion’s murder. Williams is charged with first-degree murder without premeditation.
