Young Thug’s rollout of Slime Language has been an interesting one. Just a few weeks ago, the rapper sent snakes to music publications leading to more anticipation for the compilation album. The fun was cut short Thursday (Aug. 16) when the rapper was reportedly arrested for gun possession.
Thugger was seen walking with LAPD officers outside of the project’s release (and birthday) party at David & Buster’s in Hollywood. Fans filmed footage of the alleged arrest which happened after a member of his team crossed paths with a police cruiser, TMZ reports. The officers searched the rapper’s vehicle where the weapons were found.
He’s currently being held on a $35,000 bond but that hasn’t stopped the rollout of Slime Language. Thugger posted the tracklist and artwork for the compilation album on Instagram Friday morning (Aug. 17).
