Young Thug got the memo that Lil Wayne isn’t feeling his Carter 6 album title. Taking to Instagram to attempt to clear up his intentions, the Rich Gang rapper posted a video explaining that Weezy is his “idol,” and that he has no interest in beef with the Young Money head honcho.
“I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated about his career, and I feel him on that,” he said in the clip. “But this is my idol. I wouldn’t ever in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing. This is a person I look up to.”

However, after garnering criticism from fans – and even Wayne’s 16-year-old daughter Reginae – Thugger is moving forward with his Carter 6 plans. In the caption for the video, he also tagged Lil Wayne, despite the rapper’s recent comments.
“I respect @liltunechi for being someone so big in my life, no matter what he say,” he wrote.
