It looks like Young Thug isn’t finished with Tha Carter franchise just yet.
The Atlanta rapper sat down for an interview with No Days Off Radio, and revealed that following the forthcoming release of his album HiTunes on August 28, he plans to drop a mixtape that mimics the name of Lil Wayne’s imminent album Tha Carter V.

“I’ma drop one more mixtape [before my album], I’ll probably name it Tha Carter V,” Thugga said. “‘Cause the original Carter V still ain’t came out yet. I don’t know what the f-ck they doing, so I’m putting that motherf-cker out for ’em.”

Earlier this year, the Rich Gang cohort had to change the name of his current project to Tha Barter VI for legal reasons, but let’s see if he can dodge lawsuits this go-round.
