Coachella made its annual return to Indio California last night (Apr 10) at the Empire Polo Club — where thousands of festival attendees flooded the field to catch acts like, headliners AC/DC, Tame Impala, Flying Lotus, Steely Dan, DJ Snake and more.
Hip-Hop also had big names for the first day — including Action Bronson, Vic Mensa, Raekwon & Ghostface, Azealia Banks, Ab-Soul, Lil’ B and more. VIBE made it just in time see Vic put on for Chicago in the beaming desert sun. As the first rapper to grace the stage for the weekend, Kanye’s new favorite collaborator brought tenacious energy as he performed new material — “Wolves,” “Roll My Weed” and debuted a boisterous new track, “I Ain’t Trippin.”
Action Bronson was no slouch either — he came through and killed it, from his first breathe, onstage. BamBam was also gracious enough to bring his New York brother Mayhem Lauren and Big Body Bes along for the trip. He hit a high note when he dipped into the crowd for “Terry,” which ended got the kids actin’ crazy. He even personally went over to show love to his Albanian brethren in the front row and let a persistent fan touch his broad ginger beard.
