The International purveyors of music known as Boiler Room TV set up shop in Austin this week to celebrate the week long SXSW music festival.
Last night, the collective hosted Kaytranada, Freddie Gibbs, J. Rocc, Dipset, Ghostface & BADBADNOTGOOD, Rae Sremmurd, Goldlink and more for a 1 night only set. Representing a mishmash of earthy hip-hop sounds, the more than 5 hour concert had its peaks and valleys but definitely worked as one of the more fluid shows of the festival.
Veteran Wu swordsmen Ghostface Killah and Canadian Jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD received one of the warmest welcomes of the evening. Together, they kicked it off with the Pretty Toney Album’s “Run,” their collaborative track “Ray Gun,” Supreme Clientele classics, and a beautiful ode to Michael Jackson.
VIBE was on hand to capture exclusive video and photos of the action. Check it out below.
