Call A$AP Ferg “Mr. East Coast” from now on.
The Harlemite teamed up with Terror Squad’s main lady and Bronx native Remy Ma for the “East Coast” visual, which dropped on May 1 at the Tribeca Film Festival screening room.
In the Sage English-directed video, the rapper’s squad and the “shETHER” MC turn up at an all-white event while wearing brightly-colored threads. The two trade bars that represent New York and the East Coast well, and can later be seen in different heavy-hued locations spitting the illest lines. A$AP Rocky and French Montana make cameos in the video.
Ferg also unveiled a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video, and spoke to Billboard about his idea behind the concept.
“As far as creating the song and the visual, I just feel like I wanted to bring the New York energy back — bring it back to the fun videos and creativity and innovation,” he said.
