Lil Wayne and Cash Money’s issues still haven’t been settled, and that’s unfortunate. Recently, Weezy’s manager and childhood friend Cortez Bryant, went on Elliott Wilson and B.Dot’s Rap Radar podcast for an informative interview.
During the discussion, Bryant talked about the Tha Carter V, Wayne’s relationship with Baby, Tidal receiving cease and desist letters for Wayne’s FWA project and more.
“I’m still playing chess right now with this situation. Soon, eventually I’m have him really speak on his side of things and what’s really going on, because it’s been going on for three years now,” Bryant said.
Bryant also discussed Weezy’s new book, Gone ‘Til November, which chronicles the year Wayne spent in New York City’s Rikers Island Prison for gun possession.
The rift between Wayne and Birdman started back in 2014 when Wayne claimed that Cash Money refused to release Tha Carter V. Then in January of 2015, Weezy sued Cash Money for $51 Million in an effort to get out of his contract.
